Experience some of the traditional Lao lifestyle while you’re visiting Vang Vieng.
Your tour starts as you kayak down the Nam Song from the north of town. As you paddle you’ll see local people working in their gardens by the river bank, villagers catching fish with nets and maybe even some herds of water buffalo cooling off in the river.
Then you’ll stop along the way and try your hand at traditional Lao fishing with nets. Your experienced English speaking guide will demonstrate the net throwing technique and then help you as you give it a go for yourself. Afterwards it’s time to relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor with a fire and BBQ lunch with traditional Lao foods on the river bank.
After lunch you will then continue your kayaking adventure along the Nam Song; majestic mountains on one side, rice paddies and villages on the other; still you reach Vang Vieng.
