3-day kayaking to Vientiane

Day 1: We’ll do kayaking down the Nam Lik River towards Vientiane, going through 3 sets of grade 2 rapids, a truly exhilarating experience we also do some exiting cliff jumping. This includes a scenic BBQ lunch on rocks by other side of the river.  You can then go to the Nam Ngum Lake for swimming jumping and the opportunity to see the beautiful sunset. Evening accommodation on the unspoilt fishermen Island of Dokkhounkham. After dinner observe the fisherman on the lake or relax under the stars with a BeerLao (or 2).


Day 2: Leave at 9; 30Am. After breakfast today island hopping aboard a covered boat there is the opportunity to sunbathe on the top rock. After the fisherman village we visit a Hmong village on indigenous Laos minority Lunch is taken at the edge of the spectacular from swing waterfall. After lunch we visit the fisherman island and enjoy genuine Laos cuisine looked by friendly local fisherman. These include locally caught fresh fish and local made rice wine drunk though a Bamboo straw. Later we arrive at the mountain bungalow accommodation. Sunset over the lake is an experience not to miss!

Day 3: For these returning to Vang Vieng - Travel by boat some as Day 2. Visit the waterfall and final opportunity for swimming and to enjoy the beauty of the Laos scenery and appreciate the unique and still sunspot lilt style of these who live there.

For those travelling to Vientiane - we visit the unique Laos style brick making village of Ban Keum. From there by kayaking after an easy and smooth ride through beautiful scenery still largely untouched to arrive at Vientiane at around 5:30 pm
